Winners of the SUFC Cup at Roots Hall 

The boys' football team only went and won the SUFC Cup at Roots Hall on Thursday, completing a league and cup treble for the season. We have been in this final four years in a row, but we have lost the last two by slim margins, but this year the team have returned the trophy to HJS and they did so in style.

The team had to show real determination as there were no easy games. As the competition progressed the team grew stronger and stronger, eventually coming out on top as overall winners, beating Rayleigh Primary 2-0 in the final.

The most pleasing and impressive aspect of the whole day was that yet again the team played every game with a sporting and polite attitude. This was specifically mentioned by the SUFC coaches during the trophy presentation.

Well done boys we are so proud of you.

I'd like to thank our parents/carers and family members who came to sport the team. As with every game and event, those supporting the team did so in the right spirit- this is always appreciated.
