Year 4 Roman Workshop
On Tuesday morning, Year 4 were visited by a Roman soldier called Lucius Felix Septimus. The children were shown his Roman army armour and weapons and some even got the chance to try on some of the equipment. They had the chance to take part in a simulation of a battle between Romans and Barbarians and when the Romans won, the Barbarians became slaves preparing and serving food for a Roman banquet. All of the children had a great morning and learnt lots of new information about Ancient Rome.
Lucius reported, "I would like to take this opportunity to say what a lovely school you are and that the staff and pupils are a total credit to the school."
What great feedback for our school. Well done Year 4!
