In addition to the freshly prepared main meal & dessert we also offer a very
popular self-service salad bar. Bread, fresh fruit & a choice of drinks are
served as an accompaniment to whichever meal is chosen. The cost of a
school lunch is £2.20
We would request that pupils with any special dietary needs, or to order a
vegetarian meal should inform the kitchen staff before morning registration.
Should you have any concerns, worries or queries please do not hesitate to
contact the school office or kitchen.

We would like to thank our School Parliament for their support in developing this term's menu choices.
We are very pleased to announce that once again ( 12/1/23) Castle Point Borough Council has awarded the school 5 out of 5 for food hygiene. A huge thank you to Mrs Arnull and her kitchen team.
The Hadleigh Junior School has a food hygiene rating of 5, due to the hard work of our catering staff
The Food Standards Agency is the body responsible for the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Food safety is very important for childcare because children are a vulnerable group. This means children can be more seriously affected by food poisoning and food allergy than some other groups of people.
